Jhye Richardson is an Australian cricketer, who plays as a fast bowler for the Australia national cricket team and also active in domestic and franchise cricket with teams like Western Australia, Perth Scorchers, and Punjab Kings. In 2015-16, Jhye Richardson made a first-class debut for Western Australia at the age of 19. In the same year, he had a great Big Bash League season, in which he collected 11 wickets and produced a Player of the match performance in the final against Sydney Sixers, helping Perth Scorchers clinch the title.

He recorded his best international bowling statistics 4/26 against India and picked up Virat Kohli‘s wicket thrice in the series. Jhye Richardson became the second most expensive bowler in IPL history after getting bought for a staggering amount of Rs 14 crore by Punjab Kings in the 2021 IPL auction in Chennai.
