Mardaani Movie Story

Shivani Shivaji Roy (Rani Mukerji), a dedicated Crime Branch Inspector of the Mumbai Police, chases a Delhi-based kingpin, Karan Rastogi (Tahir Raj Bhasin), who runs an organised crime cartel involving child trafficking and drugs. She aims to arrest him and rescue Pyaari, a teenage orphan who is kidnapped by Rastogi’s men. Previously Shivani had saved Pyaari from her uncle, who wanted to sell her, and had since begun taking care of her like a daughter. Shivani takes the task personally, going beyond her job and duties to nab Karan and save Pyaari. Karan coming to know that Shivani is continually monitoring his cartel’s activities, phones her, warning her not to interrupt his business activities. Determined to catch him, Shivani uses intelligence inputs to track down his associate in Mumbai, who leads her to Karan’s close aide, Wakeel, in Delhi. Karan, angered by Shivani, makes sure that Pyaari is sold and sexually abused every single day. As a primary warning, he spreads a fake news that Shivani’s husband has been misusing his profession as a doctor to molest and rape an innocent female patient, and he is thrown off duty. When Shivani resumes to trail Karan, he dismembers one of Pyaari’s fingers and sends it to Shivani’s house wrapped in a gift box.
