Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (pronounced Nuvvostānaṇṭē Nēnoddaṇṭānā; (transl. If you wish to come, will I refuse?) is a 2005 Telugu-language romantic comedy film, starring Siddharth and Trisha. It marks the directorial debut of Prabhu Deva in Telugu film Industry. The soundtrack was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film won nine Filmfare Awards South and five Nandi Awards. The film script has a loose resemblance with Maine Pyaar Kiya and Son in Law. The film’s name was inspired by the song of the same name in the film Varsham. It is considered to be the first Indian movie to be remade in seven languages and also the only movie to win 9 Filmfare awards.

[penci_ads id=”penci_ads_1″]Santosh (Siddharth) is a rich city boy born to millionaire parents Janaki (Geetha) and Prakash (Prakash Raj) and brought up in London. On the other hand, Siri (Trisha) is a traditional, simple, rural girl from Andhra Pradesh who is brought up by her only brother Sivaramakrishna (Srihari). He is heartbroken when their father marries another woman and throws them out of the house, humiliating them on the way. Their mother dies, and her tomb is built on the small land which they, own until the Zamindar Narasimha (Narsing Yadav) tells them that it is his land, since their mother had taken a loan from the man. Sivaramakrishna volunteers to work day and night to pay off the loan, as long as they don’t tear down his mother’s tomb. Narasimha agrees, and the local station master (Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao) helps them. Slowly, Sivaramakrishna and Siri grow up. One day, Lalitha (Veda Sastry), Siri’s best friend and Santosh’s cousin, comes to their house to invite Siri to their house as she is getting married. Santosh also arrives on the same day with his parents.
