The film follows Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer hailing from the same town as Singham, who is forced to lead a more righteous path after tragedy strikes those near him.

On second day it collected ₹23.33 crore nett and ₹31.06 crore on third day. Total first weekend nett domestic collection was ₹75.11 crore. The opening week pan-India collection was ₹ 150.81 crore, which made it a hit film.In its second week on eighth day domestic collection was ₹9.02 crore. On ninth day collection rose to ₹13.32 crore.
